Thank you for visiting the Threads of Hope website.
We are Jim and Julie Marsh. We have been involved with Threads of Hope for several years now in various volunteer capacities like so many others that attend our church. We began the process of investigating full-time ministry in July of 2011. Our partnership with Threads of Hope represents a new phase in our lives. Since graduation from college, we have lived in Colorado, England, New Hampshire and Australia while furthering our IT careers. We returned to Wisconsin to raise our children and homeschooled both of them through graduation. Like the Kuhlows, we too are members of Calvary Bible Church in Neenah, Wisconsin, and are serving with First Love International Ministries. We have two young adult sons, Ben and Will, who will be staying in the USA when we transition to the Philippines.
Currently, we are immersed in Threads of Hope as much as time allows. Julie is working diligently on business support by helping solve problems, by creating continuity through sharing data and by learning about all of the details of the business in order to help improve information on the website and to continue to automate ordering process . Jim is working on helping Chris occasionally with accounting issues and raising support. He will eventually take over the accounting totally. We are also attending the periodic conference as representatives for Threads of Hope.
When we move to the bracelet maker's community in the Philippines, our responsibilities within the ministry will be to continue to maintain what is being developed now and to relieve Pastor Al and his wife Marina of the business duties related to the bracelet making that they have so faithfully performed since 2007. By relieving them of their Threads functions, they can spend more time tending to the spiritual and physical needs of their members. It is also our desire to create a music ministry with those who love music to get to know them better through worship. Incorporated into the music ministry would be a time to memorize scripture to help strengthen their faith and ours, as well as improving our understanding of the Tagalog language.
The outreach of Threads of Hope, Inc. was born out of a small act of kindness. The ministry has grown exponentially each year and is now a blessing to around 700 bracelet makers and their families, not to mention to many, many groups here in the US and other countries who are using Threads of Hope to raise funds for their worthy causes. In order for both of us to join the Threads of Hope team full time, we will need the prayers and financial support of those who have a heart for what God is accomplishing through Threads to help the lost and hurting of this world. It is our desire to raise our monthly support completely outside of Threads of Hope, as is the custom of the Kuhlows as well.
If you would like to partner with us through your prayers and tax deductible financial support, you can do that in several ways.
